It’s approachable, practical, and has excellent exercises. Jesse Powell rated it it was ok Dec 08, Conclusions and the Moral Compass of the Disciplines. I’m reading the 2nd edition, borrowed last week from the library. I see now that there’s a third edition, which I’ll order today and donate to the library when I’ve finished reading it. The book also offers abundant exercises to help the student develop techniques for working productively at each stage of the scholarly writing process; mastering and summarizing difficult scholarly sources; planning; and revising to create good working conditions for the reader.
