This is not a trait I admire in a book Hero. Surprisingly, Emma takes this news fairly well. Want to Read Currently Reading Read. I would consider this book a paranormal New Adult romance. Fave line from the book- ” I will drag your sleeping ass out into the sun, if you so much as drop a fang at my sister” – Emma in Conversion S.c.stepehns totally took me covnersion surprise it starts off slow, not even on a slow simmer just slow.
Please don’t think I’m a monster. And so begins their love affair.

When Emma meets Teren, she feels like she finally found someone special. They are hoping that with each mating with a human being that the vampire tendencies will be drowned out of the DNA and the family will return to fully human again.
So much so sometimes I found myself skipping over some of it. Hopefully the second book comes out soon ;D I fell in love with Teren almost instantly.

All paranormal features and twists in this book were original and I enjoyed this story immensely. His family was seriously wacked though. As Teren and Emma fall in love and she learns more about him she starts to come to terms with who he is and what is going to happen to him, Emma eventually agrees to have a baby with him before his transition and human death.
Good men are hard to come by, and I’d had more than my fair share of duds. Stephens knows how to write. She had her fun in college, but those days are now over. She gave her heart to Hunter Evans, only to have him break it.
My heart felt like it was going to burst right out of my chest.

This book is not the typical paranormal vampire read, but has more of a humanistic approach to a vampire-human love story. That’s when fate steps in, s.c.stephenns she crashes into a tall, dark, and handsome man – Teren Adams.
There were several references to conversipn being intimate, but we never got any real detail.
View all 7 comments. Narrator, Piper Goodeve really animates the dense narrative of Emma and Teren’s love story. The last thing Kenzie needs is to be antagonized by her rival team’s newest rider, Hayden Hayes. I was about to give up. I love their families.
Even the action was boring. Definitely puts a unique spin on the Vampire genre with family values and continuing bloodlines playing a vital role.
He has a heartbeat, loves steak as well as cappuccinos, and has no problems walking around during the day.
