I there – I was just wondering if anyone knew what the generat technique for camera solving is? I have a piece of footage lasting about 15 seconds.
boujou 5 tutorial plus after effects cs 5
I have tracked it and its worked fine… Ive also put in a few of my own very accurate target tracks; when I come to do the camera solve, however, I get about 8 different camera solves!? Why do i get so many – in every tutorial ive ever seen, they have one running the legnth of the clip so why do i get so many?
Is there a way to prevent this? It a slow, p shot but its very shaky and there is a fair bit of motion blur.
However, the surface that I intend to place my model s onto, goes in and out of the scene several time but I dont think that could be it? I tried upping tutoril sensitivity; that got me from 8 cam solves to only 3 but it wont improve any more on that. Why is it people have this problem so easily with slight blurryness in a frame when the pros seem to have no problems at all with their footage in tutorials etc?
It is because the footabe is at such high fps they dont have any motion blur?? Maybe you need more target tracks. If the object you want to track moves out of frame, maybe you can make three separate moves work.
I set my tracks to the highest possible quality settings – boujiu.5 an hours. Then did the same to the cam solve – took hours. There is a section where it doesn;t track, nor cam solve. Is there anything I can manually tweak or something to boujiu.5 these? I can ad me own target tracks, and have, but i need the solve, not tracks. Any chance to see the footage in question?
I like to start and do my own motion tracks, getting at least 7 tracks of green per frame. Once thats done, add a few locators through your shot. When you are doing locators DONT put keys too close together on the timeline or Tuotrial will go really slow with very little benefit.

Say one key every frames or so. Locators are helpful for tying together solves that annoyingly output multiple cameras. Refine the solve and see how you do then. Another huge thing to watch for is lens distortion. There is a tutorial out there to help ttorial troubleshoot those shots. If there is distortion on your footage then this will make the largest difference for you.
If your footage has compression on it yuckthen consider opting for the large area solve I cant recall rutorial name off the turorial of my tutorizl. Merging the cameras in 3d is to be your worst case senario.
After contemplating shooting myself in the face with a nailgun. You need to select a few well tracked points likely the golded ones from the areas that drop in and out of frame and Join them. This happens a lot on overly compressed footage too. Along with all the other very good points that Mike made in his post, the other tracker-killer these days is CMOS sensor wobble. If you shot tutotial footage on a DSLR or any other system that uses those sensors, depending on the shutter settings etc.
There are plugins for compositing apps to help try and correct this now as well. Are you adding target tracks to your scene? They are manually added either before or after a shot. Before is best, in my experience. Something you might need to do in the end is combine two or three cameras into one.
They place manual guided tracks that help tell the software how the camera moves through the shot. If your subject moves in and out of frame, then its up to you to tell the software that the feature is the same one.
